I got to illustrate the cover of the latest single released by Chris Cope. The single is called ‘Said Too Much’ which could have been interpreted in many different ways. This muzzled parrot was the result!

I Made You A Mixed Tape – is now open for viewing at the Corban Estate Arts Centre, in Henderson, Auckland. The opening went really well – thanks to all those who stopped by! It was great to see so many people are passionate about illustration. There are approx 20 artists in the exhibition and three rooms packed full of work to view and to purchase. I have a few of my explorers prints, more of the isles series and a new series about giants.
Thanks to Anne-Sophie and the Corban Estate crew for inviting me to be a part of it! The exhibition runs till the 4th of March so do have a look see if you get the chance.

I have some work in this exhibition, ‘I made you a mix tape’, opening next week at the Corban Estate Arts Centre. 27 January – 4th March 2012, Opening Thursday 26 January 6pm.

Ford Studio - a lovely link found over the holidays!

Welcome back to a new year! Any one else feel like that break went REALLY fast? Perhaps it was all the rainy days spent inside.
Any way its good to be back in the studio – As previously mentioned I have some illustrations in the current issue of Good Magazine. If you havent heard of Good definitely get a copy, it is full of all sorts of ‘goodness’!
The article I illustrated was about ‘Cultivating the Art of Slow’ – which is something I definitely need to do more of. The second part of the article examined personality types and suggested ways you could choose a more balanced ‘slower’ lifestyle.
It was a real interesting read and great fun drawing different characters for each type. What number are you?
You can pick up your copy here or at your local supermarket/bookstore.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all! Thanks for visiting us here this year!

Ammo Magazine arrived this week in the flesh! Loads of amazing illustrators here!
Also this week I have some illustrations in Issue 22 of Good Magazine – pictures coming soon.

I have an illustration in the Special Edition of AMMO Magazine (based in the Uk) which is now for sale! Its called Monochrome and it looks amazing!! check it out here.

We are having a wee sale! Screen Prints and Giclee prints up for grabs – check it out here
It is a very busy season – I have just completed a great illustration assignment for Good Magazine, more photo shoots for Your Home and Garden Magazine and busily getting works together for another exhibition in the new year! Its all go – but great fun!
Speaking of exhibitions if you get the chance over the holidays head on down to The Framing Workshop – my fellow illustration friends Gary and Daron have a great exhibition on called ‘Spring Clean’ until the 25th January.

A sneak peak at what i have been working on lately….
But in other news… we are in the process of having a wee shake up here on the website. New pictures being added here there and everywhere!!
And when I say ‘we’.. I mean myself and my husband Jayden. Not sure if I have mentioned this on the blog yet but earlier this year The Picture Garden became home to us both! Its so great to not have to work on my own any more but Im still adjusting to sharing a studio… Fortunately we work well together
