A while back I was asked to create an illustration for Bulletin Magazine in the Uk (RCSLT). The article was about Risk Feeding elderly patients who suffer from dysphagia (difficulty swallowing) and the research into the lengthy delays in Uk hospitals. It was fun to tackle my first medical subject – thank you to my many nurse friends who helped me understand the medical terms.
Here is a recent illustration I made about exploring the great outdoors. It may be part of a larger image eventually, we’ll see..
Earlier this year I got to work on creating this magnificent magical music machine for the talented guys at hum studios! Hum is a creative audio studio based in NZ – check out their amazing showreel! This illustration features on their website which is now LIVE!
I had so much fun drawing every musical element I could think of – topped by adding a mad audio scientist at the control panel and a monkey organ grinder… I have the best job!
Thanks to Nathan & Andy for this awesome opportunity and Lou from Husk Creative for making it come alive on the web!
Exciting news! – The new Frankie Magazine has hit NZ shelves and this issue features my ‘Up the Garden Path’ illustration (from the Wild Goose Chase Series) as the pull-out art poster! It is so lovely to be part of such a gorgeous magazine and wonderful to see the front cover is illustrated and embossed too – portrait image by Ana Albero.
So if you are like me and love the ‘lift outs’ get your copy today!
The new Idealog Magazine is in stores now – I had the great privilege to work on six editorial illustrations to accompany columns on various subjects. The one pictured above called ‘The Shipping News’ by Rebekah White states the sustainability case for giant waterslides – making freight more efficient.
Ill show more of them soon in my gallery.
Thanks to the Idealog team!
Super excited to announce that the Pams Flour Packaging I worked on last year is now out on the shelves! The 5 kg bags are out first and will be followed by the 1.5 kg very soon. It was great fun working on my first packaging project which featured lots of lovely textures. This beautiful design is thanks to Brother Design who were wonderful to work with. So all you bakers out there, look at the yummy recipes on each pack and lets get baking!!
I was asked to create an illustration for the cover of Issue 11 of extra curricular magazine which is available for pre order today! This issue is about new beginnings and is packed with interviews from talented people, delicious recipes, crafty tutorials and great topics like ‘Making a business of your hobby’!
I made this illustration last month for the Oscars – (unfortunately it too disappeared in the recent website glitches). Here it is again – It was great to see Life of Pi winning so many awards!
