Where oh where

Well 2011 has started in a haze of busyness! We are back in Hong Kong working with Holly Brown once more - which means more lovely coffee and delicious gelato! Over the next few weeks in the lead up to Chinese New Year we are helping to launch another cafe this time on the Kowloon side of the water at the K11 Art Mall. Unfortunately I seem to always get a nasty flu every time I visit so I have spent a great deal of time sick in bed :(

In moments of wellness we made a very quick trip to China - 'Shunde' to be precise - which is a industrial port area known for the manufactory of all sorts of furniture. China reminded me very much of landscapes I had seen in thailand - same dusty roads and seat belt-less taxis.

(Above brief drive by views from China).

2011

Happy New Year everyone!! This picture was taken one sunny blue day while on holiday on the east coast of New Zealand.

It was a lovely holiday break but now its time to get cracking on the exciting things ahead for this year! :)

Merry Christmas 2010

Merry Christmas Everyone!! Thanks for stopping by this year and reading my blog. Hope to have more to say in the new year but in the meantime I wish you all a very relaxing and safe holiday break!

I thought Id leave you with this greeting inspired by all the lovely wooden Nutcracker toys I have seen in the shops lately! - Hope I get one for Christmas :)

See you soon..

Album Launch

Just in time for Christmas my friends from The Sing Songs have launched their album 'These are the End Times'. I had great fun taking their photos and creating the design for their CD packaging. You can buy the digital album or purchase the CD here

Runner Up!!

Very happy to say one of my Holly Brown illustrations was chosen as a 'Runner Up' in the winter issue of Creative Quarterly Journal (issue 21). (You can see it online - scroll down the list and find my name).

Stoked to have been mentioned as the judging is of a high standard and there are so many awesome illustrations submitted. Creative Quarterly is all about inspiration. Each quarter they judge the best work made in graphic design, illustration, photography and fine art fields and showcase the winners in their magazine. They also have great articles/reviews and interviews with leading professionals.
